Central Davidson Ends Huskies Season

The Ashe County Varsity softball team's season ended on Tuesday May 18, against the defending state champion Central Davidson. Central Davidson proved to be too much for the Huskies. They beat the Huskies 10-0. This was the first time in Ashe County High School softball history that a team advanced to the third round of the state playoffs. The Huskies finished their season with a 11-9 overall record. The team will lose 6 seniors to graduation; Kelly Hudler, Larken Mikeal, Brittany Parsons, Cori Revis, Brittany Roten and Kaitlin Smith.
